Alice McCormick McClain, L.Ac., has practiced acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine in Frederick, MD, full-time for twenty-two years, since 1995. She lives in Frederick with her husband, Ray McClain, and her daughter, Lara Steeves, a student at Frederick High School. Alice’s son Timothy Steeves is preparing for a career in scientific research at the University of Chicago.

 

Licensure:

Licensed Acupuncturist, State of Maryland; formerly licensed in New Mexico when she taught and practiced in New Mexico.

Board Certification:

Diplomate in Oriental Medicine awarded by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). The Diplomate in Oriental Medicine is awarded to practitioners who demonstrate the highest proficiency in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine.

Professional Education:

Masters of Oriental Medicine (M.O.M.) awarded by the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe, New Mexico, 1992.
